Do REAL Christmas Trees aggravate allergies?
Christmas Trees produce tree pollen in the spring, not the fall and winter when it is dormant. Studies have shown that of the 50,000 species of trees, less than 100 have been shown to cause allergies.
Christmas trees can collect pollens, dust, mold or other allergens as they grow, but so can the artificial tree that is stored in the attic or basement. Whether you use a fresh Christmas tree from a farm or an artificial tree stored in a box, if you are sensitive to dust or molds, you can simply hose the tree with water and let it dry before bringing indoors. At Kennedy’s Country, we will shake your tree to help remove allergens and dead needles so they don’t end up in your home!
Are FAKE Christmas Trees better for the environment?
NO!! 85% of fake Christmas trees are imported from China and are made of metals and plastics that contain PVCs. Because of the unacceptable levels of lead, some states require a warning label on Fake Christmas trees.
Do REAL Christmas Trees Deplete Forests?
No. Nearly half a billion Commercial Christmas Trees are grown on family farms such as ours, and each year farmers plant 1-3 seedlings for each tree harvested. It takes 7-10 years for us to grow your Christmas tree to its full average 6ft height!
Can FAKE Christmas Trees be re-used each year?
Most people use fake Christmas trees for an average of 6-9 years. Regardless of the number of years you keep it, it WILL end up in a landfill. When buying a REAL Christmas tree, you are supporting the environment. A farm-grown Christmas tree is 100% biodegradable and most trees are recycled and turned into mulch or used for erosion control.

*Drop off dates December 26th-January 31st between 8:00 am and 9:00 pm, no appointment needed.
*Please drop off the tree where the “Tree Drop OFF” Sign is located.
